29539, rear grind when turning
Posted by T_K, Jun-28-06 05:14 PM
ok when I make a hard-ish left turn in my RS, there's weird grinding coming from the right rear wheel (where weight transfers)

almost the same happens with the left wheel at a hard-ish right turn

when I say hard-ish I mean anything enough to tilt the car a little and transfer weight.

I've raised and looked and there are no signs of rubbing or anything looking weird. I can't figure out what might be wrong. The whole rear suspension minus the struts (they have 2K or so) was replaced with a cleaner one from a GS recently complete with brakes and everything. So I'm familiar with the rear. The weekend I'll take apart one side and try to figure out what's going on but any input appreciated.

Sounds like your fenders are rubbing on your tires...is your car lowered?

either the tires rubbing if your lowered or it the wheel bearings.

it's not lowered and there are no signs of rubbing like I said

I have some rear hubs I can try swapping and see if anything changes.
