ok, well i made a previous post about rreplacing everything on the front end.....witht hat said, i was on advance auto parts site and they list the upper control arm balljoint.....how the hell do you replace that...it looks like its a 1 piece like our lower ball joints. also...i was browsing through the search and sonone said that if you use aftermarket inner tie rods they wont fit or sumthin along the lines.....can anyone vouch for this?

the ball joint should be held on with a clip, as for the tie rod,i've replaced mine and i had no issues with it.

I replaced my tie rods with ones from advanced auto, I believe the manufacturer was TSW, they had 2 types one with a grease fitting and one without.
the ball joint has a clip that you just undo and press the joint out. I havent done it but I was looking at it the other day and it should work

thanks dude....also were the hell did you guys get the tie rod tool to pull the inner tie rods? every place iv went has no damn clue wtf it is, im hoping i can rent one instead of buyin one but if need be i can.....

any tool store or you should be able to rent one. A few members here report that a large pair of channel locks will reach in and remove it but i cant say i have tried that.

well i cant find the tool anywere and everyone they order isnt the correct one so anyone else got any suggestions?

I got a SK brand one off the USA Tools truck that comes by work a while back when I first started my mechanic job. Ton's of people sell them, and quite a few parts stores rent them. Check NAPA to buy one, or O'Reilly's to rent one.

tried all of those retail store....to none avail...anyhow for other to get past this hurdle i use a long 1-1/4 open end wrench
