whats up everyone? me and a buddy were messin' around with these upper control arms i got to swap out with mine, all the bolts were p.i.t.a to get out but i think i busted my damn ball joint or something. its like a little rubber boot, i was trying to pry that bolt out and my damn pry bar slipped and smashed into that little pouch and grease came out, would i have to change my ball joint out or would this be fine? anyone know anything about these?

Sounds like you broke the seal, duh. As for is it fine to drive around with I don't know but I sure wouldnt do it. You would need to replace the lower control arm, mine was only like....$40 I think, I would have to check receipts. Just replace it, better then it breaking and causing more damage.

You can simply replace the control arm boot for a couple of bucks, just measure the diameter of the stud on the control arm and the diameter of the top of the ball joint and go order a universial ball joint boot from energy suspension. Its like 6.00 + shipping but you can get them in cool red colors if you want.

Yeah they are only 75$ and you do not want to mess around trying to fix something like that. Mine had a rip in the boot too and if shit gets in it the same thing will happen to you that happened to me it will come out and put you in the ditch or another car.
