2921, AGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Posted by MrClean125, Jun-23-01 03:31 AM
The f#@kers sent the wrong f*^king sleeves for my coilovers!!! Now i have to wait another couple days for them to be shipped and then set a time to back and have the rears installed (i dont know how to do it and i dont have the tools anyway). They could only do the fronts b/c the rears had the wrong spring sleeves. I think they sent me civic sleeves!!! How disrespectfull =) Yeah, i'm a little steamed but at least i got it half way done. Oh well.........

What kind of coilovers did you have? How did you know that they are the wrong sleeve? I thought they are mostly universal...I know the rears on all Skunk2's are a little too big for the shock, so you need to use ring washers and the rubber O-rings...

DO NOT take your car back to a shop to have them install the rears, they are so easy its not funny. you can do both sides in a hour total. just remove the two upper screws on the strut tower, jack up the car and remove the wheel, then remove the single 17mm nut on the back of the bottom of the strut and push it back off of the mount. then remove the top washer on the strut and reinstall the coilovers in place of the springs. its extremely easy and will save oyu a trip to the shop as well as, what, $100? http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt

Yeah man....like Cyan said, the rears are a joke. You won't have any problems.

SHOCK/SPRING INSTALLS ARE SO SIMPLE!! the first time I did it, I followed the directions that Corbin posted up. He says first timers expect a 10 hour job. It only took like 5-6 hours for my first time. Then I installed springs on my friend's accord. 2nd time at it only took 4 1/2 hours and that included 2 trips to Autozone!! Follow corbin's directions and you will be fine.
