Yeah, I know, there is crap all over the site on this. AND, yes I have read it, but I still want your input! Cool?

My Current setup:
2G Eclipse (obviously)with Tanabe coilovers on my stock rollers. I am buying rims this week but I want to make sure there will be no "serious" fitment issues. ANYWHO, the new rims are 17x8 with 43 offset.

SO, any probs with this size and offset?

stick with a 225 tire and a +43mm offset or less, you probably won't rub

I may be wrong but isn't an 8" wide rim gonna be too wide and rub? I thought most people stick to 7" wide.

Okay. That is enough for me. My only real place of concern is the rear suspension components and rub issues there. If I have to roll the fenders that is no big thing to me because the car is getting painted in the next month or so anyway. I was just hoping that 8 inches of rim and then rubber would be okay.

If anyone has anymore info on this please toss it my way.

Well, I have a choice between 25, 35, and 43mm offset. Would I be better off with the 35 or should I stick with the 43? The rims are on their way, but I can exchange them before I mount my tires. I just don't want my wheels and tires to stick way out and look completely stupid!

Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated! This is my first time with aftermarket wheels.

Thanks yall!

I have 8" wide rims and I don't rub at all.

That is my biggest question. I know that we can run a variety of sizes and offsets, but I want to know what offsets you guys are running that went 8" wide. As I said I have the choice of 25, 35, 43mm. The rims that are on the way I chose 43mm. The sales man said that I can send them back and exhange for a different offset if I don't mount rubber or mount the rim.

yea but you'll have to pay shipping 2 extra times... it cost me $16 per wheel when I sold them. so 16*8 is about how much more its going to cost if you guessed wrong...

Thanks for the info mane!

I actually found a guy who has the same rims on his car and talked to him the day prior to mine getting here. He has 17x8 with a 43 and the look good. I guess I got lucky!

Thanks to everyone who replied here to help me out!

Hey, post pics when you get them mounted. I have been wondering what offset to use for 17x8s myself for some time...
