28705, Powerslot plus rotors
Posted by baxsom, Feb-07-06 02:56 PM
I need new rear rotors. The current brembo crossdrilled have a crack and I saw the powerslot plus rotors for 200 at importperformance.com.

I saw a few posts about these rotors but no real big discussions.

If I only upgrade the rears (for now) with the plus rotors will anything be negatively affected? The fronts are twice the price of the rears and my current rotors are not cracked (yet) so I dont see the need to replace them but I dont want to put the car or myself in danger by having mismatched brakes.

Any experienced suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.

I have the fronts that i got from summit and i was really happy with them. Not TOO much of a noticable difference except wet weather braking improved tramendously...... but i suppose if your just doing rears your probably not looking for too much of a "performance" gain. I have had them on for about a year and a half and have had no problems... no warping even with the shit i put them through, makes them a good rotor in my books ;)

i am eventually going to do the fronts
but not until those rotors need replacing also.

i just put them on last year and just cant see myself getting rid of something that still works

I wouldn't suggest doing it that way, myself. You might create the undesireable condition of having the rears lock before the fronts.

yeah i just put powerslot's on this weekend, my braking improved alot over stock. I also had changed the pads and lines, so im sure that had alot to do. I would recommend it, but like the guy above me said, i dont think its safe changing the backs and not the fronts.
