28619, Wheel and tires Posted by talon749, Jan-26-06 01:27 AM
ok, I am running cooper zeon zx2 tires 225/55/16 or something like that mounted on 16x7 rota gt3 wheels, the whole setup only weight 19lbs, but i want lighter tires, my dad works for cooper and I can get any coopers i want for free, but zeons are reallly heavy! dose anyone know anything about falkens? I really like the tread patterns and hear they are really light...any comments?
btw i just ordered the tokiko blues suspension kit, jw

That sounds pretty light to me. 19lbs for the whole setup.
I believe that my wheels are 17-18lbs apiece, and I have no idea how much my tires weigh.

dude, if all your tires weigh less than 19lbs then i say stay with it, you have the lightest combo that i have personaly heard of and congrats.

my friend was dating a model for falken just so he could get the tires for his acura. he loves those. says its good grip. idk about the weight though. if u want to drop weight, do with skinnier ones, like instead of 45 tall get 35s or 30 if u can. i live in NY and our roads dont let me go lower than the 35s ive got on my summer wheels. its not cali.
