Looking at this rear strut bar for my 99 GS. Listing states "Does not fit Spyder or late 1999 model year." Why does this not fit a 99?

well, sorry im the 1st reply, since im not very knowledgable yet. but i would suppose because the "towers" in spyders are in some way different since they have all that junk in the trunk (canvas top, motors to move it etc) and us coupes have that area free in the back, so this piece of metal connects from one tower to the other. so in short, just because the trunk of a spyder is diffent than the rest.

The spyder will not work due to added bracing that is already there. 99 should fit. no idea why it claims it wont. Buy it and post if it fit or not. if it doesnt fit then shoot me an email. I can take it off your hands.
