Just as it says I just wanted to know which one you guys thinks offers better corrosion resistance...thanx for any help...

Hmm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you think the coating would wear off quickly on a part that sees so much friction? Now, if the rotor were MADE of different metals, I would think that it might make a difference, but just a coating? I know that my rotors get corroded on the face after a rain storm, but a minute or two of driving takes care of it.
Brian
PS. I've heard that cryogenically (sp?) treating them affects rotors. I'd be interested if someone has some insight on coatings like zinc or cadmium.

yea but what i mean is not the surface of the rotor that touches the pad, but the rest of the rotor like the edges and the such....

typically cadmium is better than zinc as far as corrosion properties. But of course that always depends on more specifics of the actually plating/process/thickness used to plate.
It could be .001 thick cadmium vs .004 thick zinc,etc...

my cadmium coated rotors started to rust on the non-friction surfaces about 2-3 years after I owned them. they still look pretty nice IMO.
