28365, New front control arms, alignment question.
Posted by sike, Nov-27-05 01:46 PM
Ok, I just installed a new clutch and all new front control arms, upper, lower compression and lower latteral. My car sits very low. I had an ingalls front camber kit in the old control arms but they were pretty much beat to hell so I just installed the new control arm as it came. I'd like to get some new tires soon and get everything aligned. Is it possible to get correct alignment without any sort of camber adjustment in the front? I'm debating on the necessity of this and I don't know too much about the subject. I dont want to take it for an alignment and be charged whatever amount to have them tell me that they can't do it. Any info appreciated.

Get the Ingalls camber correction kits for the front and rear and install them yourself (it's very easy). Then take it to a Good alignment shop. Any shop worth a damn will be able to make the adjustments with the ingalls kits installed. You will not have to worry about them telling you that they can't make the adjustments if you have them installed.
