My front brakes I knew were warped so I changed out the rotors with some brand new ones. Seemed to do the trick. Well that was about 3 weeks ago or so. Well, it seems that when I get up there on the freeway to 85+ that the car still shakes when I brake.

My questions are, I didn't change out the rear rotors? Could they have been warped to and can they can the car to shake as well? And 2, I didn't change the front pads cause they were pretty new. Could the pads be warped and cause this?

Thanks for any info or input and sorry if these are stupid questions.

the rears could be warped, sure. the pads... not so much..pads wear and conform to the rotor surface. either the rears are outa whack, or maybe you have an alignemnt issue of some kind.. turn the rear rotors and see if that does the trick.

Where do you feel the vibration? Is it in the steering wheel or in your seat? If your rears were warped then you would feel it more in your seat than your wheel. Try slowley easing on the e-brake while driving and see if you get the vibration( Don't be dumb and do it at 85mph,Do it at a reasonable speed)Where did you buy your rotors? If you got cheap ones they might be defective. I don't know how much time I've wasted warrantying cheap rotors on cars. Also check the runout on your rotors before you return them, they may not have seated to the hub correctly. If you do get new rotors or get them cut make sure the hub is clean when you reinstall them.

IMO the front discs and stock pads are not good enough to handle any braking over 80mph.

Get yourself a set of Powerslot rotors and EBC Green or Axxis pads, and I bet your problems will go away.
