hi all, i just got my car lowered, i used Tein S.tech springs which are 0.8" drop all around and tickiqo blue struts, now ever time a press on the brake, i hear this weird clunk noise, i looked at control arms and they are bent on the top, what was happening is that, they have been hitting my fenders from the inside, i went to a local mechanic, and they suggested that i cut in the inner fenders so that the upper control arm can rest better and that would also remove those noises, do u think i should do that or is there an another path that i can take, any help would be great.

A .8" drop w/o a camber kit won't cause the upper control arm to hit. What size tires do you have?

Check the eye bolts that mount that arm to the body. From the top, they are the two nuts, one in front of, and one behind, the shock tower. My guess is that one, or both, of these is broken.

Jack up the car, and look under the hood for some horrendous badness.

i have been trying to search for a picture of the control arm, in the CAP section but i cant find it, maybe if somone can post up a picture of the control arm, ill show you guys what is hitting the fender, thanks for the help

thats the weird thing, i use to have 17's on it with 205-40-17 but now i switched back to the stock wheels and tires

the circled area is what is bent downwards since it was hitting the inner fender,

have you had your period lately?

that small of a drop should not be causing any type of suspension problems regardless of whether or not you have a camber kit. did you install these yourself by any chance?

nop had a local mechanic who works mostly on DSM's do it for me, could that damge have happend becuase the car use to be only a few inchs of the ground and its back up to almost stock hight?

Did you check the tops of the mounting points? Are they all set?

you have a peice of shit camber kit, take it off. its spacing your upper control arm to far out and its hitting the inner fender well. you barely have any suspension right now and are likely bending the shit out of the arm right at the edge.

take that camber kit off, my guess is its ingalls. put the stock one back on, it'll be fine.

ya it could be the camber kit, ill probbably take it off today, and ur right, the arm is bent right at te edge, do u think i will be ok with out a camber kit with a 0.8" drop?-
