Now if you have read in other posts you are aware I am now dropped on Dropzones which are very dis-liked. Now my questions for those of you who are lowered. Is how much are you lowered? Were you lowered on stock shocks? And how much did your car bounce and was it mainly from the back? I need to know the information pertaining other peoples setups that way It can help me figure out how to go about tweaking my setup. Also I would like to know which struts you have now and how that effected your ride from going lowered on stock struts to lowered on aftermarkets.

i was lowered about 2" (sportlines) on tokico illuminas. No bounciness- i loved the ride. I prefer adjustables because everyones taste is different- 5 was too firm for me, so i had a 3 setting all around and i loved it. However, in my friends car, he prefers a harsher setting. So since your already shelling out money on shocks, go the extra and get adjustables and tune them perfectly the way you like.

I've got about the same drop as EvMan. Sportlines. Started with them on blown (severely) stockers and the ride was a bit bouncy. I hadn't noticed my struts were gone since they slowly went bad over almost nine years since I bought the car.

Now I run GR2s with them and the ride is firm, a bit on the low side, but I love it. Obviously a far cry from a set of JICs, which would likely run circles around this set up on the circuit, but they're decent on a street car imo.

I now have sportlines on koni adjustables. The lowered cg is sweet around corners as they ^^^ can attest.

I started with ebay coils on stock struts- shitty super bouncy ride

Then I had sportlines on kyb agx- I had AGX back when there was a known issue with the fronts. Its corrected now so I can't truly attest to them. They were shit back then as AGX designed the fronts from the galant. AGX admitted the f-up and summit gave me full credit towards my current shit

current ride- Love the adjustables. Nothing beats konis if you have the bank. I have mine around a medium setting. Unlike the tokico adjustables where you select (1,2,3..) the Konis have a "dial" where you dial in the firmness. Doesn't bounce too much and it rather comfy for being dumped 2 inches!

Well I am thinking about going with some tokico adjustables. As for the bouncy part. My co-worker told me how to test of the struts are blown. So we go outside push on the back a little bit just once release.. Yea the bitch bounced up and down like 5 times. They are deffintly blown not to mention all the strut juice that is oozzed all over the place. That would explain the harsh ride in the back . The front still rides though. Still out to prove the dropzones arent bad. I'll let you all know when I put the illuminas on.

Same setup here as EvMan2345, sportlines w/ illuminas. I love them. For a track setup it would be nice if the sportlines were even stiffer, but it's perfect for a road driven car.

I at first didn't have the money for the illuminas so I was lowered for a little bit on the stock shocks, which were already basically dead. It was just horrible. It will tend to be more bouncy in the back because of the weight distribution.

I have Neuspeed Springs (yellow) and Kyb Gr2 Struts. I don't know how much they lowered the car, i bought it like this. I'm really happy with the ride though, when it comes to replacing these i'll most likely use the same setup.
As for drop zones on my buddy's civic i was really impressed with them and they were coilovers very suprising ride on stock struts. I personally do not have a problem with them. But on a bigger heavier car i would have no clue.

In Conclusion for my budget setup for a drop I can say I am very happy spending Less than $400 for a great street suitable drop. The dropzones and the kyb adjustables work great with each other and I cant complain at all.

I had no problem with my dropzone struts. But you get what you pay for and I love the 32 way coilovers personally. But at 1K....... Put it this way. I had to save. :P
