I just installed them last night and I matched them up as I took them off.Seems I have 1 finger of clearance in the front and a fist in the back? I will post pics when I get home

let them settle a little bit and then check again.

my friends tein took a little before they got properly settled and if its still uneven call up tein.

You didn't get AWD springs, did you? They have a higher springrate in the back, which will give it a stinkbug-like stance. Not that the stinkbug stance is all that bad for performance...

Would that be the Tein SS springs :P

Anyways, they will settle but if you are up THAT high I don't think they are gonna come down that far. Check the boxes (assuming you kept them) for the part number.

The stinkbug look is good for many things, not that it makes you feel any better... Aerodynamically, it is superior, and it allows for a better launch. Having the back higher than the front brings the rear into a flatter toe curve than the front. That means that when you really load the outside of the suspension, as in a tight corner, you gain more toe in the front outside than do you in the rear outside. This will improve turn-in.

If you're going for looks, though, I can see why it wouldn't be ideal.

The model number you gave is the proper one for a 2WD 95-99 Eclipse so it should not have settled as such.

Is it possible that you put the fronts in the back and the backs in the fronts? Just something to check...

The drop he is describing in the front is much, much lower then S-techs usually settle. people complain about them being too small of a drop (like only 1") but if he put the rears in the fronts, the 70lb-in lower spring rate would make it so it settles this low.

i would say u put the wrong springs on the front and rears. arent the bigger ones suppose to be in the front? i would check on that, that gap does not look right at all.

Backwards. The front is low because the REAR springs you put on the front are made to support a trunk. The rear is so high because the FRONT springs you put on the rear a designed to support the weight of an engine. Switch them. I could be wrong though.

The answer is no you can not.. You now have to compress the springs and take it all apart.. All over again. Yea it sucks but look at it this way. Now you will be a pro at doing suspension on Eclipses. I have done mine 3 times already because of stupid shit like receiving the wrong springs and not being able to get the back struts off. Anyway.. The small springs that are more tightly compressed go in the front.. The wider taller ones go in the back.. Have fun with this, I know I will next week when I install new struts.

Went ahead and got the kyb struts and switched them around and I very happy with the job. will post pics soon
