2743, Lowering the spring perches

I just bought some Maxspeed coilovers and it says I have to lower the spring perch even though its welded on. How did you guys lower your cars? My speed shop doesn't want to mess with the perches cause they're afraid they'll fall or something while I'm driving and I'll sue them. Are there coil overs that don't require me to move the spring perches? and do aftermarket shocks have perches at the same height? Thanks

which struts are you using? if you still have your stock ones, put the maxspeeds on those struts, just knock off the perches and the maxspeed collars will rest on the bumps from the perch. then you can save for some koni yellows to replace the stock ones cause koni perches are removeable just like the stock ones, the pop right off. so i assume you got either tokico or AGX? if you got AGX you need to sell them anyway, they wont work well at all with coilovers. if you dont wanna cut off the perches on tokicos, sell them, like i said, reinstall the coilovers on the stock struts and get the konis
