Hello everyone. I got a 95RS. I have H&R Sport springs that I put on stock shocks and this setup was fine (about 1 figer gap on all 4 tires and fenders) until I bought my 17's with 235,40,17 tires. I rub on the back left fender. Needless to say I just put my stock springs back on. My question is, I know that the stock shocks are blown but if I put tokico illuminas (on the stiffest setting) and my H&Rs back on...will I still rub? And, does anyone know what the drop is on my springs?

well you just said your problem. 235's on an extreme drop. you better get some springs with less of an aggressive drop if you wanna run those tires, bucko!

Yeah, you'll rub with the illuminas on 5. i have 225/45s and i rub the back left also, with tokico springs. Im gonna attempt the 'rolling the fenders' idea. dont ask me how, because im not so sure myself.

H&R Sports are advertised at 1.5" drop. I had a two finger gap with mine, but I had KYB GR2 shocks. Even if you get new shocks, you "might" still rub depending on your camber and how the rims are tucked (offset etc). But I would get new shocks anyway, and then see if that works, since they would be better than stock (even if you stick with stock springs)

you don't necessarily need to change your springs...
you could, with a heat gun and a baseball bat, roll your rear fenders...
i have the same problem, i have 235's too but with eibach sportlines- and my tires are hurting
i have yet to do this because i haven't had my car- but i plan on doing it very soon...within the next week or so
