hey, I went to C.V. Source today (down the street from the machine shop my motor was at) and we had a long talk about axles. he knows his stuff (and they do THOUSANDS of axles). I just walked in there and showed them what I had. told them I had a 97 GS with abs, and he brought out an axle. he acutally brought out an avenger v6 axle BECAUSE it was stronger. he even told me so (he saw where my axle failed ;) ). has the same size ends and same length, just a little beefier joint by the hub, and a little larger shaft. he says that he woudl like to start supplyign high strength axles, and it would probably take a group buy to make it happen (requires custom fabrication to make a GOOD set of axles). We figured it would be about 500 bucks for a set of axles (yeah, it isn't cheap), and it would probably take a group of 20 people to get it rolling. I told him that if he had a set ready to go, I would have NO PROBLEM paying 500 bucks for a set of HIGH STRENGTH axles (believe me......a 265 dollar tow bill from the track will make you BELIEVE in upgrading axles!) I was jus twondering how many other people woudl be interested in starting up a group buy for these things?
