27256, what size is the castle nut on the tie rod end?

I left this at the shop last night, just wondering if anyone knows? Size and thread pitch would be sweet.

24x1.0? I'm just guessing, but it's in that area.

the nut is a 17mm, how would the thread be a 24mm.

prolly a 12mm thread pitch of 1.0 or 1.25 i will check tonight when i get home.

Kevin you are talking about the tie rod end to knuckle thread right? not the tie rod to rack and pinion thread

I just fooled with mine--- 17mm for the tie rod end. Sorry no pitch though :(

take your other one off and take it to a hardware store to find the pitch...

kinda old, but a good post anyway. The nut is 17MM and you must use a air rachet or impact wrench to get it on if it starts to slip. I can't remember what size thread it is now but my old one was totally trashed. I replaced it (over 3$ for a new one) and put it on with the impact wrench. No problems since! :)
