2703, PowerSlot or Brembo rotors?
Posted by Will, Jun-07-01 02:50 PM
I need a pair of new rotors in the front and I can't decide between Powerslot and Brembo. They are both about $130/pair. I know most ppl are happy with their Powerslot but I kinda like the cross-drilled and slotted look of the Brembo rotors. Thanks for any suggestion.

Well powerslots are brembo, just slotted. I have them and metal master pads, and i stop alot better than i did. I don't know how regular brembo's are tho.

I have KVR Cross-Drilled rotors using "I think" Wilwood blanks, that I'm putting on this weekend, at least the front rears required the conversion... see if I have time.

Where did you find Brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors for $130 a pair?

i am using brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors on the front of my car. Powerslot uses brembo blanks and cross drills them, the main thing i liked about the brembo rotors over the powerslot rotors is that the brembo's slots are circular, not straight lines. well i am using them with axxis metal master pads, they have not fully broken in yet, but i can feel the better braking performance already. i cannot tell you if it because of the pads, the rotors or both, cause i replaced all of them at once. make sure though that if you get the brembo rotors that there is the word brembo stamped into the edge of the disk where the vent openeings are. I have heard of many stories lately that people have been selling disks as "brembo" whaich are actually not!
okay hope i could help lates!

Thanks for the info guys. I will make sure to look for the brembo word on the rotor.

Michael, I found those rotors on http://www.islandmotorsports.com , they were $65 each on groupbuycenter.com, now it's $69 each I think.
