Here's a few stats on my ride before I begin...

'95 GS-T, 125K, 5-sp, less than 7k on all 4 rotors and pads (stock)

When I drive my car, I hear the "wub-wub-wub", meaning bad bearing or warped rotor, it's my rear left. So, I checked my lugs they are TQed to spec, my air pressure in all 4 tires is ok. The sound gets worse if I take sharp left turns, or swerve fast to left (fake drunk driving, hahah), and also drive faster, so here's what I have done to inspect this.

Raised the car on jackstand, spun wheel by hand, made the noise.

Took off wheel, spun hub by hand, still made the noise, rotor would become caught on brake pads, or resistance went from easy to really hard, then back to easy.

Removed upper half of brake caliper, removed brake pads. Replaced wheel, spun wheel by hand, no noise what-so-ever.

That's about it, based on that, would you say that my rotor is indeed warped and needs to be replaced? That it is NOT my wheel bearing, and that something is binding (rotor, pads, anything else down there)? Any suggestions? I have around 6-7K of easy braking on my brakes, all 4 rotors and pads. Also, would a warped rotor make the "wub-wub-wub" LOUDER when turning left? Or is that bearing failure? What do you guys think I need? I need some quick advice on what to buy. If it is rotor, my wheel won't fall off. If it is bearing, I will have a 3-wheeled Eclipse pretty soon!

To test for bearing failure grasp the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and try to wobble it back and forth, and then at 9 and 3 o'clock and try and wobble. You'll be able to tell if there is any bearing play then.

Also, you're certain the noise isn't coming from the cv joint right?

When I had my wheel bering go out, it sounded like it was in the rear. Turned out to be the front ones. I replaced all of them to be safe and only 2 (fronts) were even close to being ready.

Alright, I'll check it again, and also the front ones. I have some used front ones with less than 5k on them,I can throw on my car. I def. think it's the rear, if I pull up the e-brake slightly, the noise gets extremely loud and it is from the rear. My drive axles were replaced at 100k, as was my clutch, fly-wheel, timing belt, but no idea about hubs/bearings, and esp. work done in the rear. Thanks, Nick

sounds to me like it's the rotor. did you re-adjust your parking brakes or anything when you did your brakes, one of those shoes could be hitting the drum portion. just a thought :shrug .

Changed the hub, kinda went away, def. the rotor.
