All you are going to have to do is cut holes in the access covers for the rear shock towers, easy as cake.

Hello...Check the image below. That's what I did with the rear upper strut bar access cover. Made a hole - It's a little bit big because I have a Tokico 5 ways adjustable shock. So I can adjust it without taking the cover out. If you cut only the bottom half, should be fine. After cut the hole, use some kind of door edge protector (I'm not sure how you call it), you can buy from Pepboy, Discount Autopart, or .... Cut it into 4 pieces and then attach them to the inside edge of the hole.

what tools do i need. i just got mine and i want to install it. also how much do i torgue the bolts on top of the struts back down? this is my main concern becaust i dont have a torque wrench so i dont know how tight to put them. i dont what to overtighten and break the bolts...also i dont want them to come off during driving. UFO that looks awesome!!!
Talon. As tight as you can with a 3/8" ratchet will be fine, you can't put too much torque into it. You should feel if you are going too far, I wouldn't worry about it. If it worries you just check it after you've driven around in it. If they are starting to loosen go tighter.

Yeah UFO, that's tight as hell. I wanted to ask you, does the hatch cover sit on the bar when it's down? The reason I ask is, I just recently installed a custom sub enclosure between the shock towers and had to get rid of my Tenzo strut bar because the bar mounted too low to clear my amp that's mounted on the top of the box. When the hatch cover is down, there is only an inch of space between the amp and the cover. I am looking for a bar that actually touches the hatch cover when it's down...hehe, I know, sounds stupid. If you or anyone else knows of a bar that touches the hatch cover and is fairly flat/thin, please let me know. I hated to get rid of my rear upper bar. Thanks in advance....

I just recieved a bar that the cover actually rests on the bar. I really doesnt get in the way of the hatch closing on the cover, it works great cause of my box.

mrnic001....what kind of bar is it and where did you get it? Also, you mind measuring it's width top to bottom in it's mounted position(thickness). Thanks

That is a clean job. I just cut holes in mine about the size of a quarter ans it works fine. But I may elect to do what you did in t he future. Thankx for the idea.
