I'm going to be getting some used rims (embarassed to say which) but they have brand new proxies4 on them. thats what matters to me until I go turbo or 2.4 next year then I'll get some lightweighters. Anyway, will 225/40/18's rub with a sportline drop?

I rubbed when the wheel was turned all the way. Other then that you shouldn't rub 99.999% of the time.

Since you have the tire size figured out, the last component to if they rub should be the width and offset of the rims. If they are 18x7.5 w/ 40mm offset, you should be fine, if you are wider, or have a higher offset, you might rub a bit. Just roll the fenders and you'll be fine though.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'll be running an offset of 45. I should have mentioned it.
EDIT:
Would it rub with a Pro-kit drop or or is it inevitable.

Pro kit probably not. Pro-kit is better anyway. Ride is very nice and the drop is perfect.
