hey, i looked all over for this subject, im sry if it was already up. ok anyway, does anyone have howell differant rate springs on ther car? such as http://www.howellautomotive.com/Howell/Store/catalog/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=142_38_87&products_id=1283 for the front springs. you can get up to 450lbs in the front, and/or 650lbs in the back. i just want to know if they make a differance, and how much they lower if any. and just start talking about them. thanks so much.

Those springs are for a coilover strut, not a factory perch strut.

ie, you have to be running a coilover setup already otherwise these aren't going to work for you.

And yes, spring rates can make a huge difference in how a car handles and rides. To get maximum performance, the shocks should be valved (or re-valved) to match the new spring rates. My JIC's were re-valved to match the custom rate springs I'm running, which were hand picked for doing auto-x and roadcourse events. Spring rates should not affect ride height unless they are complete garbage.
