26156, where to get outer tierod ends Posted by Eclipse99fwb, Jan-19-05 02:54 AM
Hey just have a quick question, where did you guys get your outer tierod ends at? I had changed mine out during the summer, but due to the fact these werent oem they were shorter than my stock outer tie rods and i didnt make up for so it at my tires up. and not getting a alignment didnt help either. thanks for any replies and help, i searched but just kept coming up with changing it.

okay thanks for the replies im ordering a set right now. what should i tell the shop when i go get it alignment to adjust after i put it on? I know you can get it near the point by marking where my oem tie rods where at, but its not aligned now since the ones i had put on before where shorter and stupied me forgot to make up for it when putting it on. I think its the toe-in i should tell them to adjust but i want to make sure, and im putting it in myself cause they will rape in labor like always. thanks again for everyones help.

You should'nt have to tell them anything. When they do the alignment they'll correct any issues. Thats part of what your paying for.

Unless you have some aftermarket parts Like a camber kit, caster and camber are not adjustable on our cars...

okay thanks for clearing that up too, thats what i thought when i was looking at my suspension when i changed the outer tie rod last timei. but i wasnt sure cause the only other suspension i had worked on before was my old truck and it had very simple suspension using a torsion bar, etc in the front.
