I posted a while back that I thought the ebrake cable was too long, donor parts from allmitsubishi. I finally got around to checking it out and the cables are definately too long. The drivers side was binding at the axle where the cable enters the brake assembly. I was able to finagle the cable, hey that rhymes, and it eased the binding. I was able to adjust them almost to spec but I think I want to fix it correctly. Does anyone have suggestions on how to shorten the cable and at which end. I looked at it and I don't think it is possible at the console/brake handle end. Should I just leave well enough alone?

Are you using the cable for the drum brakes or disk brakes?

The cable I am using is the one that was already connected to the brake assembly, I called the guy at All Mitsubishi and he sent it to me, the whole hub assembly with cables attached. After messing with it the other day I was able to make it brake and release without rubbing but it made a pop noise a couple times when I pulled it while moving, testing. I imagine the popping noise is caused by the extra slack being snapped into place when the cable tightens.
