2555, Back brakes squeak, what to do Posted by alexries, May-28-01 05:22 PM
Hey, my back brakes squeak a LOT when I first start driving the car cold (left overnight or something), and sometimes it'll squeak at random times. Anyway it is my understanding that there is some sort of back disk brake conversion or something. Where can I find info on how this is done? I need a relatively cheap fix, upgrade even.
Thanks guys/gals

If you hear squeeling every time you stop it is most likely the wear indicators... time to do a brake job.
I'm assuming you have rear drums. if it happens oin cold night could just be a build up of moisture in the drums causing the squeeling.
The rear disc conversion is $250 for parts from Dan Gilkl at allmitsubishi.com and Deano did the write up under the mods section of the main page.
