I have installed my illuminas's but for some reason the ring that holds the bump stop is supposed to have a groove I geuss that the bumpstop wil grab. Mine dont have that groove and the bump stops all just fall right down on the the perch. Think it is ok to run with out the stops. I haven't had a problem doing that yet but I am sure It would be real bad If I hit a but hard enough. How do I fix this problem.

the bump stop is supposed to slide up and down on the shock rod, and it will usually just sit on top of the shock body. it doesnt matter where it is on the shock rod...

well the problem is that the stops slip over the ring very easily like the ring dont touch the stop. It would do nothing but ride up and down the rod till the white shock tube/seal hit the ring cause the stop slide up past the ring also.

if you hit a bump really hard do you really think that lil ring is gonna stop the bumpstop from moving past it? You can't stop the bumpstop or you will get shot.
