24963, tokico illumina front install question?

Ok guys finally my suspension setup it here and i started to install it this mourning. After some headaches and critical thinkin i got the shock assembly removed. I have one question reguarding the tokico shocks. They came with 2 nuts and that lil red cap thing. Do you use both of those nutsor just one?

i considered the second littler nut to be the lock nut...but i am not completely sure.

I thought about the lock nut idea, but when I was doing the rear I dropped a couple nuts in there so I decided to just use one for each and they have been on the car for about a year and a half with no problems.

You are suppose to use the second to lock the first.
