24502, After tokico/sportline install, i have bodyroll and floating Posted by EclipsedChef, Jun-25-04 05:47 PM
I replaced my front shocks with tokico blues, but left the rears with the kyb gr2's for now, i figured it would be ok until i can buy the new rear tokicos. I also installed sportlines in place of my weapon r coilovers. Now, when driving around 60 mph the car seems to float down the road, and when i move the wheel back and forth quickly the body rolls like hell. Ive never had bodyroll like this before, especially when lowered. Im guessing outer tie rods are the culprit, could anything else do this to me? Are the rear shocks to blame for this? HELP ME

I had stock rears for a long time with tokico fronts. One of the best mods I did was replace the blown rears. Car was horrible.

Get a front strut tower bar IMO. Get the rear too but front is where you'll really notice the difference...

sportlines are the culprit. my car is almost unturnable past 60. it's like flying a 747. The solution = Tein SS :)

Easy way to test your struts: Go to the back end of the car, and quickly push down hard to compress the suspension, and let it spring back up on its own. The car should stay put, and NOT bounce at all. If it comes up, then goes back down a little, then comes back up, your struts are on their way out. You should be able to push down on the car, and the car should come back up sharply and stay put.
