I bought this kit from Spooledupracing. Includes Raybestos(?) GSX rotors/loaded calipers/brackets. Everything you (should) need. He says his other customers have had no problems whatsoever. Of course, mine dont just bolt right on.

Tore everything apart the night after I received my parts. No matter what I did, I could not force these GSX rotors on! Brought everything to a shop, they concluded that my lugs actually got larger the closer you get to the hub.

So today I ran to satan, got my new lugs. Jacked car up, pulled everything off (passenger side this time) popped my old lugs out... and the rotor won't sit snugly against the hub!!! Theyre getting caught right in the middle where the top of the hub sort of ... "grades" down to the outer circle. Whats the deal?!?!?

Did I receive the wrong rotors? More importantly, if I get a set of Brembo rotors... will I end up in the same bind? Perhaps these rotors are just poorly designed?

My old rotors just slide right on (as the new ones should) from any angle...

clean the hub real good with a wire wheel.....this might be the prob. The GSX hub is the same obviosly because we can swap brakes and rotors. If your still hanging up and there is no rust or corrosion on the center of the hub (it looks new) then possibly there is a casting defect with those rotors. Me personally i would clean the hub with a wire wheel or possible some emery cloth till its perfectly smooth, if it doesnt fit then, use the emery clother to clean the center hub area of the rotors. Without seeing how tight they are i cant really say how to make them work. Do you have access to a drill press? If you are any good with basic machining i could explain how but if your not then dont bother. This is really a common problem.

Yeah I had already hand sanded and wire wheeled the whole hub on both sides..

Problem solved though, turns out I received a defective rotor. The second rotor (which, until 10 minutes ago I hadnt even unwrapped) fits perfectly with one whack of my mallet!!!!!)

Sux that I had to be the unlucky one to receive a factory defect. :mad:
