alright check this out this is what i got

will a rim with a +44 offset being 18x7.5 with a 225/40 tire on it rub with a 1.8 sportline drop?

i have no idea how to calculate it, im not sure what the wheel offset ratio thing is stock, i have some 5mm wheel spacers just in case to bring the offset out a little to clear the upper control arm, when the wheel is say...turned all the way in either direction it wont rub

I was looking at some 18x8.5 with 38mm offset and I was told they would not rub at all on stock suspension setup. If that info helps at all...good luck.

The only time you rub anyway is if the wheel is cranked 100% all the way over and you are doing a u-turn. If you only crank 95% you won't rub. It's never been a big deal to me.

thats the same thing that happens with my 15's, 225's are our upper control arm's friends :P

i think the 18's with the 5mm spacers will do alright

stock (on my gs at least) is 16x6 w/ +46 offset.

so, w/ 18x7.5 w/ +44 you may have problems even w/ the spacer.

The backspacing stock is 122.2mm. Your setup yields 139.25mm.

My 18x8's had a 18mm offset which put the backspacing at 119mm. I had no probs w/ ~2" drop and these wheels/tires.

If you ahven't already bought the wheels try for a +27 offset (or +32 w/ your spacers). That should put it right at stock clearance.

It's on the pic (they call it backspace dimension). Backspacing is the distance between the mounting surface of the wheel and the lip of the wheel toward the center of the car. To keep your clearance between your wheel and you suspension, you want to keep that close to stock (at least w/ my drop, I didn't have a whole lot of room to spare from the stock setup).
