hey guys i just got new front tires, and when i was filling up with gas i decided to check tire pressure, the guys at tire kingdom had my front tires down to like 25psi and the back tires were at 50psi - was that a good set up for our veh, im not drag racing at all, im just a daily driven 2gnt n/a. So i put all 4's back to 35psi. is this cool? or what do u guys think.

tire pressure should be like 30-35 in all tires, drag racing you can drop it a little to get some more traction

For some reason I run exactly 33 in the front and 28 in the back. I think I read somewhere that it makes the car understeer less.

Factory specs are 32 in the front and 28 in the rear. Right now I have 30 all the way around. =)

Check your sidewall for the tire MAX PSI rating. I highly doubt your tires are rated for 50, and running them like that is definitely not good for the tire. If you have any problems with those rears, go back to the tire place you went to and complain (if in fact they over inflated your tires). 44 PSI is usually the max for passenger rated tires.

And just my 2 cents, I run my 205/50s at 37/37 (little harsher ride but I enjoy it).

...or you could just inflate them to 30-35 psi :shrug

I've been running 32/30 (215/45/17), but they feel a little soft. The best combo on my car seems to be 34/32. Hmm, I guess you could go between 30-35 PSI. Hey wait, did someone already mention that?!

I'm runnin' Dunlop FM901 215/45-17s @ about 42 ea. The ride is the best pressure for the tires that I have found as well as giving even wear across the tread. They still hold the road quite well. I guess you will have to experiment with pressure differences but definately as the others have said don't go too low or too high. Good Luck

i have a set of stock size pirelli's on my car and i run 40 on the front and 30 in the rear and it holds the road very well and i have had no problems with tires at all infact its a very smooth ride yet can hold on the corners very well. i heard through a friend that races his type r that by doing that it helps creat over steer. and by giving the rear tires less air it lets more tread hit the pavement and helps keep the ass end on place durnig hard corners. it seems to work well with my veh.
