23560, Rear Prokit Springs not Staying Seated in Perch
Posted by stevesquick92, Apr-16-04 07:49 PM
I just got my Prokits and Illuminas installed. The problem is with the rear. Today when I was installing my new rims, I noticed the springs were not snug up against the perch of the shock where they should be. Also, when I go over a bump or enter a driveway from an angle there is a creek and pop in the rear suspension. I also noticed that when I jack the car up, I can actually turn the spring with my hand. Did the guy installing the mess up or not install something or what? I know he didn't install my bump stops. I am planning on digging in to it tomorrow and see what is wrong. Does anyone have a suggestion on this? Can someone show me a link that gives a good diagram of how all the rear suspension fits together... (just the shock and spring parts with all the bushings etc.)

Thanks.

I could turn my sprint springs a little when the car was jacked up. They were snug and never popped out or made funny noises though.
