I'm thinking about getting this setup, but I want to see how it looks first, thanks if you have them.

guys, I'm kind of starting to wonder if I need suspension as good as TEIN or an Apex N1 damper kit.

Do I really need something that good if I'm not gonig to be drag racing, nor autocrossing in this car. Should I just get Prokits and Illuminas, or something equivalent?

I have them. What do you mean by "how it looks?" Its a full coilover setup: Adjustable ride height, adj. dampening, etc.

http://www.tein.com/ss1damp.html
I'm dropped at about 1.3-1.5 inches.

EDIT: Personally i'd go with the Prokit/illumina setup if your not going to push your car to the limits. I autocrossed my car just this weekend with the Tein/RM DSM sway bars/front & rear upper bars, and was able to run the car hard on the road course.

Clay, I was just basically looking to see how it looks where you have your ride height set. Looks good...just starting to question if I want to spend that much...I was pricing rims, and that is going to be expensive as hell...I really want a good suspension setup though.

The difference between a full body coilover and anything else is night and day. Ground Controls are the best sleeve-style coilovers, and are inferior to any full body setup, even when used with Konis. Just get the Teins and call it a day. It won't cost you much more then a good set of shocks and springs or coilovers.

ditto, without being true spring on body attached coils, I think I have the best setup, the ground control with 5-way Illuminas, RMDSM sway bars and they are fuckin SWEET, Turbo8U can ouch for that (LOL), my next step could be teins and EDFC. People who have been here a while know I drive my car, I've already snapped my front upper strut bar and today I found that I punish her SO much I have bent the sleeve that holds the spring on the shock perch, I'll have to replace it from ground control, luckily the part is only 15 bucks but when it's time for an upgrade teins are the route I'll go, BTW my setup cost $650 and perform better than the basic Tein so I'll be looking for their 1200 setup

Get the Tein Flex model with RMDSM sways, and you will feel a night and day difference.

Ok Starsky,

Shockeclipse. How do you get the EDFC to work on the front? I thought that it did not fit the front towers because of hood clearance.

They're not as big as you think. In the picture of it on the tein site, the edfc control box looks like a normal din size headunit when in fact it is small...

EDIT: i have no idea why it won't show the pics sry

I would have to recommend going with the JIC FLT-A1's over the Tein SS. The JIC's come with upper pillow ball mounts and camber plates. Plus the ride height can be set anywhere without affecting suspension travel or changing the spring rate.
