anyone tried the cheap 50 dollar sets off of ebay? whats a decent set?

As they say...you get what you pay for. I wouldn't trust my life in the hands of $50.00 coil overs.... that's way to cheap. IMO

do not go cheap on suspension, you will regret it.

There is no decent set of $50.00 coilovers....I spent 18 hours this weekend trying to make mine work decently. I have to go home after work today and make another couple of adjustments so the "hat" on top of the spring would quit wedging itself in the spring. Don't do it man....I deeply regret buying those things !!!

don't go the coilover route unless you go with a full coil setup...like JIC's or Tein's, or something of the sort. I was tocking Skunk2's for a while and i absolutely despised them...springs are so much better...I mean, how often are you honestly gonna change your ride height??

Goldline 2" drop on kyb gr2 front struts and stock rears...as my rear GR2's are shot. Next suspension setup i buy is Tein or JIC...enough messin around IMO.

Ok.........JUST AN UPDATE !! I blew the front driver's side strut on the way home from work today. I was really pissed because I can't afford good struts and springs right now. The back is ok with the cheap coilovers on (still get about 2 1/2 inches of movement in the A-arm before it hits the inner fender). So I pondered for a while and noticed my rear stock springs were thinner and shorter than my front stock springs......well, it's obvious what happened. I ripped the coilovers off the front, then threw them around for a while and stopped when they were flattened under my hammer.....then I put my rear springs on my front stock struts. It lowered my front end to the identical height of what the coilovers were set to. I had to test it out, so I went down some backass road with a lot of bumps and hit everyone I saw....the back made noise but my front A-arms never hit once and it was smooth the whole way. I don't know how long it will last, but there's an idea for those of you who still want to go the cheap route like myself.

Exactly....Fucken Nuts.

HAHAHA!! Hey.....Just trying to give up an idea that worked out great for me and didn't cost a dime. Nuts..........maybe.........but again, it worked and it looks and rides great !! 500% better than those coilovers that were on the front!
