1998 Eagle Talon ESI, VR2 adjustable coilovers lowered about an inch. I have a good deal I'm working on for this rim and tire combo (18x7.5 -- 225/40/18's) for around $600 brand new, delivered. I was just wondering if I was going to run into any fitment problems, rubbing, fender clearance and such. I really wish I knew more about backspacing but the rim has a completly flat profile from the side is all I could tell ya. Any constructive compliments would be greatly appreciated. Here is a pic

Thanks in advance

John

You won't have any fitament problems, I run the same rim and tire size as you are considering and there are no issues, especially since you only have a one inch drop.

depends on the offset though of the rim. its the offset is way off of stock then it may not fit. the stock offset is +46mm, i have +42mm on my wheels with 235/40/18 tires, tire rubbed rear control arm back a 3mm spacer fixed that. the 225 should fit on the stock offset or less like mine, with a 1" drop though doubt you will have any fender rubbing problems... i had 2" drop so i had to roll rear fenders and the occasinoal big bump caused front tires to hit fender. but, alas, after weekend, no more drop
