ok here is the deal, i went through all my suspension options and after the one i decided on it ended up being waaay too bouncy. so thinking it was the suspension i had invented, i went back the the original coilovers i had before, set all the way down like before. well now after having it aligned today, it still bounces. it is nothing like it was before even though i have the same springs on there. i installed the ingalls 3 degree front camber kit, could this be the cause of the bouncing? it was completely tightened by the guy at the alignment shop. or could it be that taking out and reinstalling my struts so many times actually caused them to go bad? i have no clue whats going on but my car is almost undriveable. the onyl other thing i did differently was install the bumpstops this time, which i didnt do before, they wouldnt cause bouncing though would they?
could it be the struts or the camber kit? someone help, i need to fix this asap

I think you already said it... it sounds like your riding on your bumpstops, sense your ride is almost un-rideable?? Cause your struts wouldn't all-of-a-sudden start doing that. How low is it??

yup bumpstops...but if you have coilovers???where are the bumpstops at??? my bumpstop where the top perch???? So I don't know where yours would be...

Forget these guys. GET NEW STRUTS!! You're riding around with a 5 inch drop on stock struts.. Get some Tokico NA and i'll bet it'll get better.

well well, i figured this shit out. here is the deal...when teh alignment shop adjusted the camber in teh front with the new camber kit, they swung the upper control arm out like they were supposed to, to compensate for the correct camber, well, when he lowered it down, the UCA couldnt rest fully up inside the fenderwells, it was hitting the frame of the car and basically, long story short, i was riding on the control arm...no struts, no springs, no bumpstops, i was having every bump and dip absorbed by the upper control arm. needless to say, it was wedged significantly inside the fenderwells and i had to pry it out with a sledge, and raise the car back to a 4" drop. i hate my life.

oh yeah, darkone, i dont think the tokico NA's can handle a 4" drop. i dont think any strut can really but supposedly the koni yellows are the best for extreme drops...either way, neither one is covered under warranty because of my drop but which would last the longest? i can get two tokicos for the price of one koni i think, but id like the damping ability, wouldnt setting the dampers to full hard cause a rough ride as well as wear the struts quickly? im thinking this is what would happen but as a result of the firm setting i would have no bottoming out. i dont know, i need some advice from strut owners cause ive never bought any. but yeah, all 4 struts are completely blown

Shortened struts can handle a 4" drop (well thats pushing it but 3" usually anyway). The only ones I know of are the tanabe coilover and dare I say Ricky Racer threared coilovers. You can probably have some Koni's built by true choice too but if you want the drop and the suspension travel thats the only way. The drawback is you may not be able to raise the car back to stock like levels (like you care about that).

hehe, no i really dont care about that...i guess ill call koni and tokico and see what i can get custom made. i want something that can support 5 inches, at least 4 maybe. now...if only my fenderwells cold support a 5" drop. i mean with my tires not getting sliced (like my rear drivers already did). that damn "blade" inside the rear fenders (which has already been cut once)liberated me of all my side tread blocks today when i test drove it around the street. say hello to my new tires with a centimeter deep groove in the sidewalls. woo-hoo!!! its a lose-lose situation, i lose tires to the fender or i put the camber back to negative and lose tires to camber. again...i hate my life
