When I brake I get a bad vibration in the steering wheel and car. The rotors are less than 4 months old, I have new outer tie rod ends, recent alignment, new tires, new passenger side compression arm. The ball joints feel fine to me, do we have inner tie rod ends? I can still feel a little slop in the tie rods. Any other ideas? Like I said, I don't feel the vibration in the brake pedal, and it goes away, or at least gets less under hard braking.

Your alignment is probably under warranty if it was recent. I would go back and get that check, adjusted as needed. If it's good then resurface/replace your rotors, and properly brake them in.

Sorry, I just realized that I was in the wrong section when I posted it. You don't think it could be a different suspension related problem? I have felt warped rotors before, and it isn't that I am nearly 100% sure. It did this before and after I had the alignment done, and they gave me the printout with the specs before and after the alignment. Everything looked ok. Any more ideas?

The only other possibility would be a bad CV joint, see if you can see a busted inner/outter CV join on one of your axles.

How can you tell, other than the obvious? I haven't noticed anything unusual when I have been underneath there before. Do I need to take the boots off and look? Everyonce in awhile I do get alot of resistance in turning the stearing wheel. Sometimes it will even kick back at me, but that only happens at real low speeds. I supose that a bad CV joint could be causing both of these. How could I tell which side it was coming from, and how expensive are axles?

maybe the rotor surface isn't warped but other parts are. like it's not sitting flush on the hub. my aem's never really seated correctly on the hub and just got progressively worse over time. it's not the pulsing the brake pedal you normally get with uneven deposits on the rotor surface from improper break in - i get the kinda vibration you're talkin about.

if the vibration is only felt under braking, then it has to be brake related. more than likely a warped rotor. You said you've felt warped rotors before and u dont think thats it. This time it could be a warped rear rotor as opposed to the front or vice versa. Or it may not be warped as bad as your last experience, i'd definitly put my money on warped rotors.

Warped rotors is usually the culprit of vibratons during braking. I would double check to make sure everything is on correctly....mistakes sometime happen.
