21691, Finally finished the front sway bar... (Michael You will be happy) Posted by Nackers, Dec-25-03 06:03 AM
As some of you know we got the suspension techniques front and rear sway bars for the RS. And as some of you know at the last Chicago meet I was under the car nearly the whole time trying to get the front one on. I stripped on of the holes for the sway bar bracket about a month or so ago and last night I FINALLY got the sway bar on right! I just wanted to share that with you all... thanks for your time:+

Well it wouldn't have been a problem if:
A. We got bigger brackets with the bars. or B. We got 2 longer bolts to make the bastard go in. (Thats the method I used)
I just got 2 bolts from the hardware store and put the factory bolt on top and put on of the longer ones on bottom and tightened them evenly while pushing as hard as I could on the bracket. But like I said, I stripped the left one trying to do this cause I wasn't pushing hard enough on the bracket and the bolt was trying to do all the work and shit just got fucked up. But anyway, its good now and makes 0 noise:thumbsup . I am kinda scared to drive it now though cause with my accent not having power steering I am used to really tugging on the wheel to turn and with this it is so easy and right when I turn the wheel the car is instantly where I'm pointing it. It is Fucking Amazing and DEFINATLY worth doing imo.
