Hey, can anyone help me out?

I've got 95 eclipse NT. lowered with eibach sportlines with 215/45/17 tires.

my rear tires actually do rub when i have an extra passenger in the back seats... can anyone suggest an easy way to roll the rear fenders? i've heard about the baseball bat method.. but never got a chance to try it.

the baseball bat mod seems a little dangerous to me but if has been tried and tested and proves to work well, do it. or you cold use a jogsaw and trim the blade that is aimed vertically at the tire as if to cut it...who knows what mitsu was thinking there.

For real....what were they thinking? I have the same problem with my rear tires rubbing on bumps, and you can forget putting anyone in the back seat. I'm getting rid of my 3 10inch subs in their enclosure to lessen the weight.....don't know what to do after that?

Take a hammer to it:-) I've tried the baseball bat method, and it didn't really work for me. I felt like I was bending my fenders!!!! I was told that hammering it up works, and the welds WILL hold, but I have not tried this method yet. So use with caution!!!!!

Wooden bat, it's easier on the sheet metal, I know guys who have done it oon other cars and worked and looked good. Hammer is a little impresise and could lead to an ... accident. The ridge is there to give the fender rigidity so it holds shape. if you want to bend this up... maybe use some tin ships and cut several slits in it and then push them up.

tin snips might be a good idea.. but the metal seems a bit too think to cut through tho =(

i guess i'll have to try the bat method.. i know this method works on acuras and hondas.. but their sheetmetal under the fender seems alot thinner than my eclipse =(

Have you ever used tin snips? I've cut exhaust pipe with them... they can handle sheet metal. Good sharp ones will handle it with no problem, cut like butter.
