Considering how heavy these cars are, I was wondering a couple things about wieght reduction.

Suppose you used all the CF body panels and gutted the interior. You would shave the most weight, but you would also stay close to the factory weight balance f to r, right? Does anyone know the weight balance of our cars? Like 50/50? 60/40?

And that brings up my other question. How can you figure the weight balance like that? Drive the front of the car on a scale? Then the back? Also, would it be a good idea to maybe shave more weight from the front, where the engine and tranny are, and leave the rear alone to better balance out the car? I know this would really help out in autoX or for some drift action. I plan on installing some adjustable struts before too long and leaving them softer in the front, harder in the rear to dial out some of that pesky nose-heavy understeer, but I think better weight balance coudl also help.

I think our cars are defently 60/40 60 in front 40 in back....i think for in terms of handling you would probably concentrate more on unsprung weight...example is rims rotors....thats were better handling in my own opinion comes into play...i also think even though a car might have a 50/50 weight distribution how is it carring that weight into a hard corner also...you also have to look at that

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I'm thinking that by leaving the back half alone, and getting the CF hood, front fenders and some lighter wheels, I could shift the balance to the middle some more.

Also simple stuff like relocating the battery to the rear.

Yeah, but what I want to know is,

If I relocated the battery tot he back, used CF hood and fenders with some light-weight wheels up front, how could I see if the actuall weight balanced had changed. (I know it would change, but by how much?)
