ok guys heres the problem, i just installed my new powerslot dimpled and slotted rotors. Well at first i had a scraping sound which ended up being the back cover scraping the rotor. that's now taking care of. but now when i stop i get a clicking sound from both rotors, it's very similiar to the sounds a playing card makes in the spokes of a bicycle wheel. i am also running hawk pads if that makes any difference. Im hoping this sound is just temp. but if they are installed wrong i need to fix them. The slotts starts in the center and run up and to the right if you are looking at them. any help or suggestions are appreciated. TIA

I get the same thing from my drilled and slotted rotors. I just assumed that the noise came from the pads going over the holes at high speeds. Hopefully there's nothing wrong with that :o

nope, i have the same sound with my brembo slotted and dimpled. so youre not the only ones lol. but mine make that noise when im driving, so i guess my right caliper is hung again..damnit

well there is something wrong becuase now they feel really weird, they are creating alot i mean ALOT of brake dust, and the sound is not going away. silvernt told me to bleed the brake lines just in case something was wrong. im still stumped here guys.

well then that means that something is wrong with mine too, ive driven about 1k miles on mine and they still make that noise. hmmm?:shrug

My rear brakes make sounds too.

I always assumed that it's because the brake pad is sliding over the slots on the rotors and making them 'whisle'

I think it sounds cool.

And from what I can tell, the clicks/whistles slow down, which would make sense since the rotor is revolving less and less as you slow.

dude your going to get a lot of brake dust with a good setup like that. You should see the wheels on my Z, I have to clean them almost every day!

^^^yes mine get dirty all the time as well.

aaron, i would take your calipers n rotors off and reinstall everything again, jus so you can check for anything wrong. that would be a good way to troubleshoot whats goin on.
