20468, Ungodly sounds from suspension

allright, i'm lowered on sportlines and tokico blues and i've always had the back driver side wheel make squeeking when i go over bumps. Recently the driverside front wheel is making crazy ass noises, it's like every time i hit a bump or turn the wheel it's a terrible grinding/creaking but it doesn't sound at all like a "normal" creak u get when u lower it. I haven't had the ball joint recal done but i heard that is more of a clicking. This is a terrible sound i can't figure the thing out. Could it be a blown strut? they only have like 9k miles on them if that. i'm clueless. What all could it be? wheel bearing? tie rods? control arms? i dont know this shit at all, PPPPPPLEase help me i'm scared to drive my car. ;(

I have the same situation going on with my car. I have narrowed it down to blown struts at least...control arm and tie rods are more than likely damaged as well.

I know my struts are blown, but the suspension sounds like its being punished when I go over a bump or turn the wheel sharply. It sounds horrible and is driving me crazy. I need to get this fixed before winter gets here or there will be another wrecked eclipse in the junkyard with the way it handles right now.

Try fixing your Neg. Camber. Performing the $15 camber mod in the rear fixed alot of my problems on the prokits. Get the recall performed when you have time to do it.

i would check all your nuts and bolts and be sure they are tightened down... especially the trailing arms.. also.. the knuckle arm bushing may have or be going out.. its the bushing that will be on the upper most part above the wheel attached to the U part of you rear suspension..

Just throwing in another idea, but make sure your springs aren't rubbing against anything. When I first installed my coilovers, the springs weren't exactly mounted correctly and they shifted within two days, causing them to rub against the sleeve and make a horribly loud creak when I went over any bumps.

I know you don't have coilovers but if something is rubbing up against your springs they will creak, you may wanna look into that.

i have the same setup as you and have the same squeeking and slight grinding noise. I think i got used to it though.
