Usually new tires feel nice and all, but I really can't believe the traction these things have for cornering. Unbelievable. A whole stratosphere of difference from the Eagle RSAs that were on before. I can't even compare them to the Tiger Paws I have on the 14s - different leauge altogether. I can't tell if they help with launching - gotta get some 60' slips for that. These 225s are WIDE and they look real good - phat fatties. I'll try to get some pictures posted tomorrow.

...and WHEW! I can finally fly without worrying about the tire rating. What a relief. Time for an unhindered top speed test.

I have Bridgestone Potenza's on my VR4's chrome rims. My other rims have Michelin Pilot AVS's on them. The Potenza's are a bit louder but seem to corner much better. On the other hand, the Pilots seem to be better for launching.

I'm no tire guru, but the Potenzas seem to be an excellent choice in tires. I have them on a completely different setup and car but they're still sweet hehe.

Hope they suit you well :)

i have the bridgestone potenza s-03's too. they are very good tires. much better wet and dry traction than my old yokohama AVS intermediates and slightly better overall handling.

I loved it when I had potenza's on my stock wheels...they rock. When I sell my rims and get 18's I am getting Potenzas...these Yokohama Prodigy's aren't working for me.

I've got the Potenza RE910s on here! I love em! Way better than the Kumhos I had on when I bought the car!

I dont have potenza's on my car, but I have recently switched out my gsx rims with Rota's that are 17x7.5 rather than 17x6.5 and put my 225/45/17s kumhos on the new rims. Now my car handles like its on rails. It seems happier turning than going straight (even at 120mph :P), but I can launch the car sooo much easier now. I cant wait till I can go to the track and get some new numbers

I've got some racing slicks, ERrrrrrrr....... Potenza S-02's that I simply love 2 much 2 take off the car! I'm officially past the wear bars & I'm starting 2 loose any resemblence of actual tred (ie slicks ;) ) I would recommend these 2 any1, best tires I've ever had!!!

Unfortunately they must B replaced, & U'll B C'ing a post from me here in a lil bit asking about some cheaper/longer lasting alternatives as well as tire size 2 fix my speedo (off by 5mph). The only drawback of them is that U can only Xpect them 2 last ~20 > 30k miles. Lately I've been having an enourmous amount of "fun:" burnouts, pulling emeregency brake, and general tire hating behaviour.

P.S.
I drive ~35k miles per year, the #1 reason 4 me looking 4 some longer lasting tires (not so grippy :( ). I've still got my stock 14's, but 1 is bald and 1 is flat there w/ only 2 good.

Love them!

I have potenza RE730's on mine (205/55/16) and I love em. I can't believe they've lasted through almost 15,000 miles of constant burnouts, spins, and smoky braking... and they're wearing perfectly evenly and still even have some life on them.

Just remember, when running a wider tire than specified, the speed rating goes down due to extra heat on the sidewall, and rollover effect. At least wear a helmet if you're gonna go over 130.

Nah, don't need a helmit... it's not like U'd survive anything if U didn't have rollbars anyways. So floor it & watch 4 cops!!! Just watch the tire's ratings. I C U've got WR, so that's prob 150mph or something. Mine R ZR so I don't Blieve there is a mph limit, @least not w/ tread ;)

P.S.
A good radar detector/jammer & Xcellent brakes R required 4 travel @ high speeds though :P

That was about the mileage when mine started to get reeel noisy. Course, the fact I never rotated them didn't help. The updated RE750 version was supposed to be better.

I like em, but the Yok ES100's are nearly as good and cheaper.
