Alright well i just got a set of 4 18" rims and it needs two new tires .. it currently has two pirelli p7000's on it and are in good condition .. it would cost 260$ to get two more pirelli's and then 30$ to have them put on so thats 290$ .. the kuhmos i can get for 240$ installed .. which is the way you guys would go? thanks

your call dude both are good tires. Pirellis are naturally expensive. 712s are just as awesome grippers as those pirellis I bet. So if you wanna save some cash go ahead and get the 712s no biggie that's the beauty of having 2wd :P

Hey,
Just thought I'd give my my inupt. I bought 4 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 back in Feb. 03. I absoutly love them. They have great wear and hold the road good. I went through the same delima when I purchased mine. I had thought about the Pirelli's but, after reading reviews I noticed that people thought the Pirelli's were to loud. Just my thought.

Kumho has derived the new ultra-high performance Supra 712 from their track-inspired, race winning technology. Featuring the latest in tread compound development and tread design innovation, this tire will make your car handle like it's "on rails."

·Advanced directional tread design delivers superior acceleration, braking and cornering grip.

·New silica tread compounding provides excellent traction in all road conditions while it enhances wear.

·Two wide steel belts and nylon cap plies deliver high-speed stability, excellent cornering power and stable footprint for better wear.

·Large lateral center channels provide effective water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance.

AND

·Pirelli Active Safety System design makes this one of the safest, most predictable ultra high performance tires.

·Large, virtually continuous tread blocks with added siping deliver exceptional traction in all weather conditions. Variable pitch sequence eliminates noise.

·Tread compound utilizes advanced silica technology to deliver low rolling resistance (better fuel mileage) and high wet traction.

·Lightweight carcass design amplifies tread and compound features for exceptional traction and handling.

I've had the kumho's for the past couple of years and they may be cheap, but they are the best tires I've ever had. They have endured potholes the size of my car on a 2" lowered suspension. I have only had 1 flat in a year and a half due to a pothole that lasted a 1/4 mile (it felt like I fell into a ditch). They hug the road and don't slide that much during take off. Kumho Ecstas rule.:thumbsup
