I need some info on CV joint replacement for a '98 GS 5 speed. When I turn my wheels or accelerate, I hear the tell-tale loud popping from the front passenger side.

*Is this a CV joint problem?
*Where can I get new ones? AutoZone maybe?
*How Much $$$?
*How many will I need?
*Are there any write-ups on this besides:

Help me out here..! The parking lot embarassment is killing me! ;( Thanks!

Corbin has a write up floating around for CV rapacement. Don't overlook to possible ball joint gone bad.

If you decide that it is the joint, you will have to buy a new axle. They are available from most autoparts stores and specialty driveshaft shops. I got 3 bad axles in a row from Advance, so I avoid them. I eventually went to a specialty driveshaft shop and got a new axle for $100 (lifetime warranty too). Try this page if you do end up swapping it yourself: http://www.2gnt.com/www/corbin/axle.html
