I wasn't really sure what "shims" were, so just look at this and tell me if I'm missing anythign other then Rotors and Pads. TIA!

shims would be those metal clip thingies. other than that looks like you're set. :thumbsup

Actually those clips are the retaining brackets. You will need those to hold the pads in. There are also shims that you can get from your dealer for a couple of bucks that go between the pads and the caliper. I bought one set and in the Chiltons manual it shows the shims on both sides of the caliper, but my dealer told me they only put the shims on the outside part of the caliper.
If you check out my install pics you can see how the retaining clips work. The blue stuff oozing out is the anti-squeal goop that goes between the pads and the shims. You can kind of see the shims. They are black and kind of rubbery. They clip onto the back of the pads.

oops my bad. haha well i guess i was missing them when i did my conversion... what you've got in that pic is exactly what i had (minus the pads and rotors of course). when i was researching this before i was given the impression that those metal clips were the shims :P
