I just bought Corbin's old Progress springs (1.7) and some new tokico blues. I was curious if I might need front camber adjusment. I know of the hacked way for the back, but not too sure about the front. Is this something that will just end up being up to the people that align my car?

Your fronts will be at least -1.5 or more. Without a camber kit and just an alignment (setting toes straight...) I ran through 30,000 mile z rated tires in about 17,000 miles. I'm dropped on sportlines, similar drop to yours. Get the fronts, imo

if the hacked way is adding washers behind the upper brace and longer bolts that will only go so far. if your dropping alot youll have to and alot of washers and it would be better to get a camber kit. i beleive the front will still be pretty close not sure at that much or a drop. i know at 1" the front is still ok

Kinda hard to say if you'll need a camber kit or not. I'm dropped about 1.7" and my front camber was -1.8 degrees. However I've heard other members dropping it up to 2" and not needing a camber kit. Your result may vary.

front is fine on my car with a little better than 2" drop.
