i was looking up some specs on my 97 5speed avenger and i saw that they said the drag coefficent is .36. im wondering if thats good or not. i remember alot of people talking about the eclipse has good drag coefficient but im wondering about my avenger

Well, to put it in perspective, the '95-'96 has a CoD of .28, and the '97-'99 has a CoD of .29. The newest Vettes have a CoD of .28, and the C4 had a .32.
Just to put things in perspective. It's not a bad number, though.

if you were to put the right body kit on you could probably lower it a bit.

I can't think of any DSM body kits that would lower the coeffecient of drag, and the A/S aftermarket bumper selection is more limited. I am not sure how much it can be nudged down without welding in the radiator support, fenders, hood, and bumper of a 2G DSM... But then again, what would be the point?

the lower the coefficient of drag...the better

I think .36 is mediocre

And as most body kits and front end have big openings and shrp corners, I'd bet just about all of them raise the coefficient of drag.

I would guess body kits add drag because lots of them have built in spoilers and stuff on them. Not to mention some have ducts that go absolutely nowhere. 95-96 might have better cod but they do crap for cooling and downforce. I know that personally hehe....
