My DSM is a project car for me, I'm gonna be outfitting it with the best of everything (well, within reason). My friend is crazy about Tein suspension systems, and from what I've read here people say it's the best.

Super Street Dampener is the one I saw a thread about when I searched, and aside from those who said it was insanely expensive, people thought it was a great choice. It isn't compatible with the EDFC though, while the Flex dampener suspension is. So..which one? Are the SSD and Flex equal in quality?

What do you guys think? I want to get the best, and being able to adjust the dampening force would be kickass. I'm willing to spend the money, so that's not a concern...

Comments? Suggestions?

Go flex, and get the EDFC control later on.

The Flex and SS on their little suspension chart are almost on complete opposite sides,

the SS is more of a street type replacemnt dampner and the Flex is a beging race setup in their line of very expensive shocks...

with the edfc you'll beable to tune the suspension to your optimal settings from the cock pit instead of wrenching to change the settings...

the route im taking will either be JIC or TEIN flex...

actually if you look around on teins site, the edfc system will not work on out cars setup. it will fit the rears, but we dont have enough hood clearance to mount the motor on the front struts. tein is comin out with a $750 full coiloversetup in the near future. id just wait for that.

Yeah, just read that on their site. Anywhere I can get info on this upcoming coilover set? And would that set need to be purchased in addition to the EDFC and Flex set?

Just called Tein, and the guy was really nice and told me that the EDFC acutally *does* fit in the front with the Flex suspension setup. And since that's what I'm going with, no worries.

TO Clarify yes the EDFC will fit the front but you do have to do minor modifications to the structual support of the hood right above the strut....unfortunalty also it will take away any idea of a front strut tower bar because of the motors size




Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

go with the FLEX... my friend has it not his 240.. its amazing. if i had the money i would get it.

i was told a 2.4 would not fita 2gnt, hrm looks like its fitting to me , hrm the EDFC dont fit stock maybe but with mods HEll Yea!

i realise it wont fit stock, but stock doesn't stop the people out for shear performance now does it?
